In addition to my Associate Brokers license and over 20 years experience in real estate, I am a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) – a nationally recognized credential that relatively few real estate agents achieve. The GRI requires successful completion of classes in Real Estate Law, Contracts, Taxation, Marketing, Home Construction, Risk Assessment, and several additional classes, all designed to assure that graduates have the skills and resources necessary to best serve our clients.
 
Did You Know?: Every Associate Broker in Colorado is required to have 24 hours of additional training every three years. Last year I had 99 hours, more than 4 times the number of hours required in just 1/3 of the time. This is just one more manifestation of my determination to do the best job I can for my clients.
  
I won’t let you buy a higher priced home than you can afford.
As a buyer’s agent, I will attempt to limit you to buying a home within the price range that we settle on. Many times buyers will see a higher priced home and “fall in love with it”. This is usually an emotional response that wears off after a few days to a few months and often leave them with a mortgage that they struggle to afford. I learned this the hard way through personal experience. Yes, I will show you homes above your price range if you ask to see them because I think it helps to educate you as a buyer.   I also recommend you see homes beneath your price point for the same reason.  But, you have my word that I will not write a contract on a home that is above what you can afford without discussing it with you first, and, if necessary, asking you to sleep on it before submitting a contract. I have had to do this a few times in the past, and every time so far, the buyers have changed their mind and later found a lower priced home that better met their needs and budget.

Since the majority of my clients relocate from out-of-state, I spend a considerableFull Service Agent amount of time previewing homes.  I want to make sure your house-hunting trips can be as productive as possible.  I also schedule and oversee all the necessary milestones when my clients are unable to attend.  Inspections, walkthroughs, deliveries, coordinating moves - I'm happy to help you any way I can.  Naturally, there are no costs for any of these services.

My career began as a real-estate investor, and, I must confess, that's still how I view myself.  I always look at homes from the perspective of finding the best investment.  Searching out that hidden gem; looking at future growth plans and trends to select the areas that will appreciate the quickest; searching for bank repo's, FSBOs, or fixers that can bring you immediate equity.

I am a native Coloradan, born in Denver. My professional career began immediately after college when I accepted a position with RainBird International. My first year with RainBird I received the award of “Internal Sales-Person of the Year” for generating the most sales of their internals sales force. I was soon promoted to a District Manager’s position. The next year, my sales record earned me the title of “District Manager of the Year” and I was promoted to International Marketing Associate Director responsible for Central and South America. After several years of 60+-hour weeks climbing the traditional corporate ladder, my life took a sharp turn for the better. When my first child was born, I left Corporate America to become a stay-home mother. That is when my passion for real estate was first born. Almost immediately I became involved in buying and selling investment properties and managing rentals on a part-time basis. As my children grew, I was able to invest more and more time into real estate and found that I “had a knack for it". Progressing to a full-time real estate agent was an exciting dream-come-true for me. I can honestly say that I truly enjoy my work and I have been blessed by many wonderful friendships with people that started as real estate clients.
